Date window + hardening

Demure design allows the details to dominate in an extraordinary fashion, which means every aspect has to be considered and each contour and color be chosen with the utmost care.

The window with its finely milled facets gives the date plenty of room. What makes it so remarkable is how we always color match the date disc to the dial and ensure the date indication is in the same typography as the dial. That might sound like the obvious thing to do, but it is more usually the exception.

In addition, the colorless, antireflective sapphire crystal glass ensures a clear view and easy readability. We have even hardened the antireflective coating of the sapphire crystal glass to prevent annoying scratch marks.

The special hardening of the highly polished bezel helps make it four times more scratch resistant than conventional stainless steel. The midsection of the case is finely satin finished except for the facets of the lugs, which gleam with a mirror-like finish.

Two lateral recesses in the case ensure that the strap fits snugly against it, thus eliminating the risk of stray hairs spoiling the view.
